This year will be my 19th year at Carpenter's Kids.  I taught pre-k for nine years before accepting the Director position.  My favorite moments of my job are getting to know the children; listening to their stories and watching them play and grow.

Hi, I'm Ms. Julie. I am married with 2 children, Hunter & Shelby. I enjoy reading, hiking & spending time at the lake. My love for CK started in 2009, when I enrolled my son. I have been privileged to fulfill many roles at CK, volunteering, subbing, teaching lunch bunch & now I am the assistant to the director. I love getting to know all our families & watching the children learn & grow.

My name is Andrea Lovelace. I started working at Carpenter's Kids in 2010 teaching five day pre-K. I began  teaching Kindergarten in 2016. I graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in elementary education. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade classes for five years before deciding to become a stay at home mom when our son Nate was born. Just nineteen months later our daughter Emily was born. When it was time for Nate to begin preschool we decided to check out Carpenter's Kids based off of several recommendations. When Nate was heading to Kindergarten and Emily to pre-K, an opportunity presented itself to teach at Carpenter's Kids. I am so thankful for God directing our steps, not only for the beginning of our children's education, but for helping to fulfill my purpose as a teacher in such a wonderful environment. I love getting to know students and their families. I enjoy meeting students on their level and helping them to grow in the areas they need with  engaging and hands-on experiences. I am so grateful to be a part of the Carpenter's Kids family!

My name is Tina Graham and I am so excited to get to spend my days working with your kiddos. I have two children - 6 and 4.  Both have attended Carpenter's Kids - my youngest will be attending preschool here this year.  I received my degree from Baker University in Michigan and working with children has always been a passion of mine.  I have worked as a teaching assistant in a first grade class, as well as spent time working at the Boys and Girls Club summer program, Camp Jewel YMCA summer camp, and Holcomb Farm Environmental Learning Center.

I believe that all children deserve to be loved and respected and that their individual interests and personalities should be incorporated into our learning plans so that they can discover how fun learning can be.  I hope if your child is in my class we can work together as a team to make sure your child gets the most out of this preschool year!

After being a Carpenters Kids parent for 3 years I began teaching in 2005 when my youngest son was in the PreK class.  I graduated from MSU (SMS) in 1995 with a degree is Child and Family Development. I worked at a daycare while in college and after graduating taught at OACAC Head Start for 7 years. I then stayed at home with my boys and did babysitting in my home for teachers' kids.  I enrolled my oldest son in CK on the referral of former assistant director Laveen  Widger whom I went to church with. She also then convinced me to start teaching here when my youngest son was there. And I have been here ever since.

I went to MSSU in Joplin from 1988-1992 on a tennis scholarship. After graduating I spent a year as a kindergarten assistant at Greenwood laboratory school. From there I went to Marionville where I taught kindergarten for six years. After being pregnant with Ally I wanted a part-time job so I was a parent educator with Republic Parents as Teachers for nine years. From there I came to Carpenters Kids in 2006. I love working with kids. I  love being able to see how creative and funny they are. It’s the best job!

I joined Carpenter’s Kids in 2016 after 31 years of teaching kindergarten through second grade at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary in Springfield. I am a Springfield native and graduated with a degree in elementary education from Drury University. I was first introduced to the Carpenter’s Kids family when my daughter, and later two grandchildren, attended. I love watching my preschoolers’ excitement for learning and being part of their first school experiences.

Hi! My name is Cheryl Clinton and I’ve worked at Carpenter’s Kids (CK) since 2016.

I attended Southwest Baptist University, where I gained my Bachelors of Arts in Intercultural Studies with a platform in Teaching English as a Second Language.

My favorite thing about working at CK is getting to spend my time with my students! Watching their faces light up as they grasp a new concept or when they write their name for the first time- there is absolutely nothing like it!

I am convinced that God has equipped me to love each kiddo that walks through my door as the unique, special, and wonderful individuals that He created them to be.

I have the best job in the world ❤️

Hi, I'm Ms. Erin. I began working at Carpenter's Kids in 2016 when my youngest child was still a student at CK. Prior to that I was a stay at home mom with my four kids. I'm fortunate to be able to work with all of the kids in the preschool whether that be helping in a classroom, doing storytime in the library, or during lunch bunch. I love interacting with the kids and getting to know them all. It's such a fun age to watch them learn and grow! When I'm not at the preschool I enjoy spending time with my husband and our kids and watching all their various sports and activities.
